Prerequisites
Before you can connect to CData Connect Cloud, you must create OAuth client credentials in Twitter Ads.

Log in to https://developer.twitter.com/en/portal/projects-and-apps.

Create a new Project in the Developer Portal.

At the project you just created, click Add App.

Set a name for the Application. Twitter Ads displays your keys and tokens.

Record the values of your new keys and tokens. You will need them later for authentication.

Navigate to the User Application settings and click Set up.

Turn on the ‘OAuth 1.0a’ authentication.

From the available Application permissions, select Read and write and Direct message.

Specify the URL of the website and other optional information to be displayed to users when they connect.

Set the Callback URL (also known as the Redirect URL) to https://oauth.cdata.com/oauth/.
Setup Guide
Follow these steps to connect Twitter Ads to your CData Connect Cloud account:

Open the Connections page of the CData Connect Cloud dashboard.

Click + Add Connection in the upper-right corner.

Type Twitter Ads into the search field, then click the data source name.

On the Basic Settings tab of the new connection, enter a connection name or keep the default name.

Enter your OAuth Client Id obtained from the prerequisites.

Enter your OAuth Client Secret otained from the prerequisites.

(Optional) Enter your Account Id if you want to restrict your connection to a specific account.

Click Sign in to connect securely through OAuth. This action opens the Twitter Ads sign-in page in a new tab.

Log in to your Twitter Ads account and provide the requested permissions (if applicable).

At the top of the CData Connect Cloud Add Twitter Ads Connection page, click Save & Test.

If the connection test succeeds, a Connection successfully saved message appears, indicating that your connection has been created. The Status on the Edit Connection page also changes to Authenticated. View the data model of your successful connection in the right pane of the Edit Connection page, in the Data Model tab.

If the connection test fails, ensure that you entered your login information correctly with no stray spaces or other characters. CData Connect Cloud displays error messages under the required fields with missing data. Some data sources require that you sign in directly to the source website. If you did not, an error message appears under the Sign in button. Correct the errors and try again.

Unsuccessful connections are saved as drafts and have a Status of Not Authenticated. You can return to the connection and authenticate it later.
