Setup Guide

Follow these steps to connect eBay to your CData Connect Cloud account:

  1. Open the Connections page of the CData Connect Cloud dashboard.

  2. Click + Add Connection in the upper-right corner.

  3. Type eBay into the search field, then click the data source name.

  4. On the Basic Settings tab of the new connection, enter a connection name or keep the default name.

  5. If you have not already, join the eBay Developers Program. On the eBay Developers Program dashboard, navigate to My Account > Application Access Keys.

    1. Copy down the values for App ID, DevID, and Cert ID.

    2. Click Get a User Token Here to generate an access token. Set the Redirect URI to https://oauth.cdata.com/oauth/ and copy down your token.

  6. Select an Auth Scheme and follow the relevant instructions below.

Authentication Methods

OAuth

  1. Enter the following information:

    • OAuth Client Id—the App ID you obtained from the Application Access Keys page.

    • OAuth Client Secret—the Cert ID you obtained from the Application Access Keys page.

    • Ru Name—(optional) the Redirect URL name used for validation. This property is only needed if you are using the provider to allow other users to access their own data.

    • Use Sandbox—set only if you are using a sandbox account.

    • Site ID—the Id of the eBay site that you want to connect to. The default value of 0 is for eBay U.S.

  2. At the top of the CData Connect Cloud Add eBay Connection page, click Save & Test.

    • If the connection test succeeds, a message indicates that your connection has been created.

    • If the connection test fails, ensure that you entered your login information correctly with no stray spaces or other characters. CData Connect Cloud displays error messages under the required fields with missing data. Some data sources require that you sign in directly to the source website. If you did not, an error message appears under the Sign in button. Correct the errors and try again.

AuthNAuth

  1. Enter the following information:

    • Dev ID—the DevID you obtained from the Application Access Keys page.

    • OAuth Client Id—the App ID you obtained from the Application Access Keys page.

    • OAuth Client Secret—the Cert ID you obtained from the Application Access Keys page.

    • OAuth Access Token—the access token you generated above.

    • Ru Name—(optional) the Redirect URL name used for validation. This property is only needed if you are using the provider to allow other users to access their own data.

    • Use Sandbox—set only if you are using a sandbox account.

    • Site ID—the Id of the eBay site that you want to connect to. The default value of 0 is for eBay U.S.
