Setup Guide

Follow these steps to connect Spark SQL to your CData Connect account:

  1. Open the Connections page of the CData Connect dashboard.

  2. Click + Add Connection in the upper-right corner.

  3. Type Spark SQL into the search field, then click the data source name.

  4. On the Basic Settings tab of the new connection, enter a connection name or keep the default name.

  5. Enter the host name or IP address of the Server hosting the Spark SQL database.

  6. In the User field, enter the Spark SQL username for authentication.

  7. Enterthe user password in the Password field.

  8. Enterthe port for connecting to the Spark SQL server in the Port. 10000 is the default value.

  9. Enter the name of the SparkSQL Database.

  10. In Spark SQL, add the CData Connect static IP addresses to your connection whitelist.

  11. At the top of the CData Connect Add Spark SQL Connection page, click Save & Test.

    • If the connection test succeeds, a message indicates that your connection has been created.

    • If the connection test fails, ensure that you entered your login information correctly with no stray spaces or other characters. Then, try again.
