This page outlines the steps to connect Nintex to the CData Connect Virtual SQL Server API.


Before you connect, you must first do the following:

  • Connect a data source to your CData Connect account. See Connections for more information.
  • Generate a Personal Access Token (PAT) on the Settings page. Copy this down, as it acts as your password during authentication.

Connecting to CData Connect

To establish a connection from Nintex to the CData Connect Virtual SQL Server API, follow these steps.

  1. Log into Nintex Workflow Cloud.

  2. In the Connections tab, click Add New.

  3. Select Microsoft SQL Server as the Connector type.

  4. Click Connect. This opens the SQL Server connection wizard.

  5. In the wizard, enter a Connection Name, such as CData Connect Cloud.

  6. Enter your Connect Cloud Username.

  7. Enter your Connect Cloud PAT in the Password field.

  8. Enter in Database Host.

  9. Enter the name of the Database to connect to.

  10. Click Connect.

  11. Configure the Connect Cloud Owner and User permissions and click Save Permissions to complete the connection.
