Setup Guide

Follow these steps to connect Act! CRM to your CData Connect account:

  1. Open the Connections page of the CData Connect dashboard.

  2. Click + Add Connection in the upper-right corner.

  3. Type Act! CRM into the search field, then click the data source name.

  4. On the Basic Settings tab of the new connection, enter a connection name or keep the default name.

  5. Choose an Act Edition and follow the relevant instructions below.

Authentication Methods

Act CRM

  1. Enter the following information:

    • Password—the user password

    • User—the Act! CRM username for authentication

    • URL—the URL of the Act! CRM account

    • Act Database—the Act! database to which you want to connect

  2. At the top of the CData Connect Add Act! CRM Connection page, click Save & Test.

    • If the connection test succeeds, a message indicates that your connection has been created.

    • If the connection test fails, ensure that you entered your login information correctly with no stray spaces or other characters. Then, try again.

Act Premium Cloud

  1. Enter the following information:

    • Act Cloud Name—the handle assigned to the Act! Premium Cloud account. You can find this in your web browser’s address field when you open your Act! account. The form is similar to https://eup1-iis-04.eu.hosted.act.com/**ActCloudName**. Enter only the Act cloud name, not the entire URL.

    • Password—the user password

    • User—the Act! CRM username for authentication

    • URL—the URL of the Act! CRM account

    • Act Database—the Act! database to which you want to connect

  2. At the top of the CData Connect Add Act! CRM Connection page, click Save & Test.

    • If the connection test succeeds, a message indicates that your connection has been created.

    • If the connection test fails, ensure that you entered your login information correctly with no stray spaces or other characters. Then, try again.
