Setup Guide

Follow these steps to connect Acumatica to your CData Connect account:

  1. Open the Connections page of the CData Connect dashboard.

  2. Click + Add Connection in the upper-right corner.

  3. Type Acumatica into the search field, then click the data source name.

  4. On the Basic Settings tab of the new connection, enter a connection name or keep the default name.

  5. Enter the base URL of your Acumatica site.

  6. Select the Authentication method, then proceed to the relevant section and follow those instructions.

Authentication Methods

Basic

  1. Enter the Acumatica username for authentication in the User field.

  2. In the Password field, enter the user password.

  3. Select a Schema. By default, this is set to REST Contract-Based API. You can also select OData to use the OData API for Acumatica Generic Inquiries. See the OData page for more information.

  4. If using the REST API, enter your Endpoint Name and Endpoint Version. These values can be found under Endpoint Properties in the Web Services Endpoint form of your Acumatica ERP.

  5. If using the Odata API, enter your Company Name.

  6. At the top of the CData Connect Add Acumatica Connection page, click Save & Test.

    • If the connection test succeeds, a message indicates that your connection has been created.

    • If the connection test fails, ensure that you entered your login information correctly with no stray spaces or other characters. Then, try again.

OAuth

  1. Enter the OAuth Client Id assigned when you registered your Acumatica account.

  2. Enter the OAuth Client Secret for your Acumatica account.

  3. Select a Schema. By default, this is set to REST Contract-Based API. You can also select OData to use the OData API for Acumatica Generic Inquiries.

  4. If using the REST API, enter your Endpoint Name and Endpoint Version. These values can be found under Endpoint Properties in the Web Services Endpoint form of your Acumatica ERP.

  5. If using the Odata API, enter your Company Name.

  6. Click Sign in to connect securely through OAuth. This action opens the Acumatica sign-in page in a new tab.

  7. Log into your Acumatica account and provide the requested permissions (if applicable).

  8. At the top of the CData Connect Add Acumatica Connection page, click Save & Test.

    • If the connection test succeeds, a message indicates that your connection has been created.

    • If the connection test fails, ensure that you entered your login information correctly with no stray spaces or other characters. Then, try again.
