Setup Guide

Follow these steps to connect Backlog to your CData Connect account:

  1. Open the Connections page of the CData Connect dashboard.

  2. Click + Add Connection in the upper-right corner.

  3. Type Backlog into the search field, then click the data source name.

  4. On the Basic Settings tab of the new connection, enter a connection name or keep the default name.

Authentication Methods

APIToken

  1. Enter the following information:

    • Api Key—the API key that allows you to make requests to the Backlog API. You can generate this key by opening the Settings page in Backlog and selecting the API section.

    • URL—the URL of the Backlog account.

  2. At the top of the CData Connect Add Backlog Connection page, click Save & Test.

    • If the connection test succeeds, a message indicates that your connection has been created.

    • If the connection test fails, ensure that you entered your login information correctly with no stray spaces or other characters. Then, try again.

OAuth

  1. Enter the following information:

    • OAuth Client Id—the OAuth Client Id assigned when you registered your Backlog account for OAuth.

    • OAuth Client Secret—the client secret assigned when you register your Backlog account for OAuth.

    • URL—the URL of the Backlog account.

  2. At the top of the CData Connect Add Backlog Connection page, click Save & Test.

    • If the connection test succeeds, a message indicates that your connection has been created.

    • If the connection test fails, ensure that you entered your login information correctly with no stray spaces or other characters. Then, try again.
