Setup Guide

Follow these steps to connect Adobe Analytics to your CData Connect Cloud account:

  1. Open the Connections page of the CData Connect Cloud dashboard.

  2. Click + Add Connection in the upper-right corner.

  3. Type Adobe Analytics into the search field, then click the data source name.

  4. On the Basic Settings tab of the new connection, enter a connection name or keep the default name.

  5. Select the Authentication method, then proceed to the relevant section and follow those instructions.

Authentication Methods

OAuthClient

  1. Follow the steps below to create a custom app and obtain the connection properties to enter in this section.

    1. Navigate to the following URL: https://console.adobe.io/home.

    2. Click the Create new project button.

    3. Select the Add API option.

    4. Select Adobe Analytics, click Next, and then select OAuth and then click Next again.

    5. Select the Web option and supply the URL of the page to redirect to (https://oauth.cdata.com/oauth/).

    6. Click Save configured API.

    Your client is now created. Note that your client has an Client ID (API Key) and a Client Secret. These are added in the next step.

  2. Enter the following information:

    • OAuth Client Id—the client Id assigned when you registered your Adobe Analytics account for OAuth.

    • OAuth Client Secret—the client secret assigned when you registered your Adobe Analytics account for OAuth.

    • RSID—(optional) your report suite identifier. To find your RSID, navigate to Admin > Report Suites. If left blank, the connection tries to detect it automatically.

    • Global Company Id—(optional) your company identifier. If left blank, the connection uses the first Company Id found.

  3. At the top of the CData Connect Cloud Add Adobe Analytics Connection page, click Save & Test.

    • If the connection test succeeds, a message indicates that your connection has been created.

    • If the connection test fails, ensure that you entered your login information correctly with no stray spaces or other characters. Then, try again.

OAuth

  1. (Optional) Enter your Report Suite Id in the RSID field. To find your Report Suite Id, navigate to Admin > Report Suites. If left blank, the connection tries to detect it automatically.

  2. (Optional) Enter your Global Company Id. If left blank, the connection uses the first Company Id found.

  3. Click Sign in to connect securely through OAuth. This action opens the Adobe Analytics sign-in page in a new tab.

  4. Log into your Adobe Analytics account and provide the requested permissions (if applicable).

  5. At the top of the CData Connect Cloud Add Adobe Analytics Connection page, click Save & Test.

    • If the connection test succeeds, a message indicates that your connection has been created.

    • If the connection test fails, ensure that you entered your login information correctly with no stray spaces or other characters. Then, try again.

OAuthJWT

  1. Enter the following information:

    • OAuth Client Id—the client Id assigned when you registered your Adobe Analytics account for OAuth.

    • OAuth Client Secret—the client secret assigned when you registered your Adobe Analytics account for OAuth.

    • OAuth JWT Certificate—the contents of the public key you generated.

    • OAuth JWT Cert Password—the password for the OAuth JWT certificate.

    • Organizaton Id—the organization Id from the Adobe I/O Console integration, in the format of organizationid@AdobeOrg.

    • RSID—(optional) your report suite identifier. To find your RSID, navigate to Admin > Report Suites. If left blank, the connection tries to detect it automatically.

    • Global Company Id—(optional) your company identifier. If left blank, the connection uses the first Company Id found.

  2. At the top of the CData Connect Cloud Add Adobe Analytics Connection page, click Save & Test.

    • If the connection test succeeds, a message indicates that your connection has been created.

    • If the connection test fails, ensure that you entered your login information correctly with no stray spaces or other characters. Then, try again.
